Soccer season is back, and the weather decided it had to act like it is soccer and be freezing. Of course. No good weather for us sitting out on the sidelines cheering like maniacs.
Dillan had a game this morning, and we had to pick him up from Grandma's first. We went to breakfast, so the kids would be nice and fueled up for their games. We then headed to the field. Dillan's team was great, and he scored two of their five goals. They won, but we have to pretend we don't know because they do not keep score in recreation. We are going to try and do comp next year.
Then home for an hour, and back in the car.
Lexi's game was interesting. She was being so lazy, and not really playing all that well. But lucky for her, neither was anyone else. It was cold and windy, and the five year old girls would rather fix their hair and talk about where their green is then play. She played hard a couple of times and score two goals.
All in all, fun day! Hoping the weather warms up for the rest of the season though. Hauling blankets, chairs, snacks, etc. gets tiring. Off to take a nap.
Who would have thought that Brett and I would be where we are today? Not us. Life has a way of surprising you, and making you a little bit crazy. Lucky for us, with all the crazy we have a hint of sanity!

Lexi Soccer Cutie
I am not biased or anything, but my daughter is so the cutest girl on her team! I mean seriously...no bias whatsoever...haha.
Today she played soccer, and poor little Lexi was just getting beat up like crazy. In the first quarter she got knocked down, which happens a lot, but this time 3 girls stepped on her while trying to get to the ball. A bunch of moms went running to pick her up, myself included. Poor girl, and of course, it happens on PICTURE DAY! Go figure.
In the second quarter, she got kicked hard, and again broke down into tears. I guess that is what happens when you are in the middle of the action.
In the third quarter, she tripped and fell, and got kicked...in the face...her lip was bleeding, and she was once again crying. At this point I couldn't help but think that maybe we should call it quits for the night.
Glad I didn't because despite a few bumps, and a little bit of tears, nothing traumatic happened in the fourth quarter.
After the game, PICTURES! We all know how I love pictures. One of the moms on the team made the girls some little hairbands, which were very cute. I took a few snap shots of the girls, here they are.

Waiting for everyone to get their individuals.
Aww, what a cute little team!
Her team saying CHEESE!
Isn't she so cute?
Relaxing during half time.
Giving me five after she scored a goal
This, apparently, is her happy smile.
Getting ready for the picture.
Making room for everyone.
