Day Seven: Your Dream Wedding

I have never really taken the time to think about my dream wedding. Even before I got married I did not have any notion of what I would want for my wedding, so I let my mom do most of the planning. It was beautiful, but now that I have seen other's weddings, and gotten an idea of what I myself like in regards to a wedding, I will say it was far from the dream. Mostly because there was snow, and I hate snow. Because I have never really thought about it, I had a lot of fun coming up with this post, and what I think would suit me for my dream wedding. It would involve a destination reception, and of course I would need buckets of money so I could take all of my friends and family.

Here are a few of the things I would want for my dream wedding:

The groom would still be Brett.

The shoes would be these, but in all white-

The dress would be similar to these 3, or one of these. I would want mostly fitted, not big ball gown, and no veil!

This is how I would want my hair, (but with dark hair) something that would stay in the whole day without fuss, and is simple and elegant. I like the earrings too.

I would want my bridesmaids in red, knee length, and carrying small bunches of roses. I would want their hair down, as mine would be up.

The venue- I would want to be married in the temple, and have my reception in an English manor or estate, preferably one on the sea, with beautiful gardens, fountains, an amazing manor house, architecture, history, and extensive grounds. This picture is a little too new of a manor, but you get the idea. I would want to get married in the spring, where it is warm, and beautiful, and I would want an orchard full of blossoms as the backdrop, with cherry blossoms especially!

The flowers. I would want a bouquet of lilies and roses mixed. I would want red roses though. As I would want the colors to be black and white, fairly formal in that way, with red accents.

The Cake- I would want the cake boss to make my cake! I would want a chocolate cake, with a chocolate raspberry filling.  I would want one that was very simple, square, white iced, with some Lilies and roses or blossoms garnishing it, and one that is elaborate and fun and depicts the wildly romantic life Brett and I have. haha

These are the centerpieces I would want, or something very similar, with more reds and less pinks, but the idea is right on. Again, lilies, roses, cherry blossoms as the flowers.
The Food-
I would want to start with an assortment of delicious horderves, including  bruschetta and coconut shrimp, an assortment of fruits and fancy cheese and crackers, roasted meat and veggie kabobs, etc.

The main course would consist of cracked crab legs, lobster tail, grilled veggies, a nice filet, and potatoes. And of course, because it is my dream wedding, I would get to eat and savor every bite.

Desserts- We would have an assortment of fancy mini desserts, and everyone could have as many as their heart desired, from little fruit pies and cheesecake bites, to mouse cups, chocolate confections, and other sugary goodness.

The Rest- I would want to have a photobooth to document all of the guests. I would want instructors to teach old regency style ball dances to the guests so I can live a Jane Austen type moment at my wedding. I would want live musicians, a section with a video and photographs of Brett and I growing up. I would want guests transported in horse drawn carriages. I would want everyone to stay in the manor, and have several activities all week including picnics, croquet, horseback riding, fox hunting, and maybe even a play of the Twelfth Night, or something similar.

This looks like a jumble, as I had a hard time finding images to fit what I had in my mind, but this is my dream wedding. It would include everything I love, history, the beach, delicious food, etc. It would be formal, but also informal. I would want the actual reception to be an affair where everyone gets nice and dressed up, but I would want a whole week or weekend of fun activities!

I am not sure. I am sorry, I found it on a tumblr and it did not credit the designer.
